about

This tune is in honour of the poet and instrument-maker Dimitris Hill, a chance to say "efharisto poli" for the wonderful laouto (Cretan lute) he made for me in his Mani home. It is one of a kind, as he is too. Crafted in his workshop in a village returning from silence and absence to the gentle sounds of renewed habitation, this laouto now holds pride of place in our Manchester home.
